Girls youth rugby in the DMV is played across a network of local clubs, regional programs, and the Elite Girls Rugby League (EGRL). Teams range from small community clubs that combine rosters to field a side, to nationally-ranked programs with college pipelines. All levels welcome new players.
One of the five founding clubs of the Elite Girls Rugby League, North Bay fields a strong U19 program in Harford County with a dedicated middle school feeder pipeline. For EGRL matches they combine with the Virginia Outcasts. Multiple players have committed to Division I college programs.
Based in the Union Bridge / New Windsor area of Carroll County, West Carroll is one of the most decorated girls rugby programs in Maryland with 13 state titles in under 20 years of competition. An EGRL founding member competing at the Central Division level alongside North Bay and Doylestown.
A nonprofit girls rugby program based at Severn River RFC in Severna Park (Anne Arundel County), serving middle and high school players. Organizationally connected to the adult Severn River RFC, whose members coach the girls program. Actively recruiting — all skill levels welcome.
A youth rugby club serving the Bethesda area and drawing players from Montgomery County, DC, and Northern Virginia. Founded in 2016, Roosters offers programs for boys and girls across multiple age groups. One of the larger youth clubs in the immediate DC suburbs.

Based in Springfield (Fairfax County), the Outcasts compete in EGRL in a combined squad with North Bay. A strong program with serious college recruiting — Outcasts captain Jayelle Jones recently committed to Harvard. The club participated in the 2026 Italy spring break tour alongside North Bay, the Valkyries, and Corning.
The NOVA Vipers are the girls high school rugby program of Vienna Youth, Inc. (VYI), competing in the EGRL Southern Division. Based in Northern Virginia, the club plays home matches in the Vienna area.
Central Virginia's youth rugby club for boys and girls, offering middle school and high school programs. St. John's College High School fields a girls club rugby team in Washington, DC, competing against DMV youth programs including the Maryland Valkyries and North Bay / Outcasts. The school is a fixture in DC Catholic Athletic Conference athletics and also runs a strong boys varsity rugby program.

The official youth pathway program of Old Glory DC (MLR). Young Glory for Girls is a free program introducing girls under 19 to rugby, run by leading female coaches. Sessions are held at Gonzaga College High School in DC. No active competitive girls squad spring 2026 — program is rebuilding numbers; expected to field a side again in fall.
Select/academy program with a strong college recruiting pipeline. DMV girls (including Valkyries) regularly attend Atlantis ID camps and tours. The 2026 squad took silver at the Lisbon Junior 7s in Portugal. Runs PA Selection Camps and a Fall 15s Academy. Adelina Jackson (North Bay) committed to Mount St. Mary's via the Atlantis pathway.
