Girls youth rugby in the DMV is played across a network of local clubs, regional programs, and the Elite Girls Rugby League (EGRL). Teams range from small community clubs that combine rosters to field a side, to nationally-ranked programs with college pipelines. All levels welcome new players.
One of the five founding clubs of the Elite Girls Rugby League, North Bay fields a strong U19 program in Harford County with a dedicated middle school feeder pipeline. Multiple players have committed to Division I college programs.

The Virginia Outcasts joined Vienna Rugby in July 2026, integrating their squad into Vienna's relaunched girls program. One of the leading teams in the area, the Outcasts competed in EGRL-Central alongside North Bay, toured Italy in spring 2026, and built a serious college pipeline — captain Jayelle Jones committed to Harvard. The program continues under Vienna Rugby, led by head coach Pat Morin.
The NoVa Vipers are a nonprofit high school girls rugby program based in Northern Virginia, with practices held in Vienna and Springfield. Dedicated to developing athletes both on and off the field, the Vipers help girls build rugby skills, confidence, teamwork, and a strong community while growing the game in the region. Vienna Rugby relaunched its high school girls team in summer 2026 — anchored by the Virginia Outcasts, who joined the club and integrated their squad — and announced the first middle school girls team in program history. Led by head coach Pat Morin, the Vienna Girls compete in the EGRL and the Chesapeake Conference. Members of the 2026 senior class committed to play for universities such as Harvard, Penn State, and Virginia Tech.
